Teaching

My teaching philosophy is centered around two primary attributes. The first is that of helping students achieve and strive for their own goals. This can be within political science or outside the field. However, the main purpose is to help them see how what they learn has many different applications and settings. The second feature of my teaching is that of conveying accurate information, in an exciting manner, and a way of thinking that is not just verbatim learning, but rather how to think critically and authentically. This includes asking analytical questions, understanding strong assumptions and the logic surrounding them, and examining the how and why of arguments, not just the what.
